Montagem, anacronismo e comunicação: notas metodológicas a partir de Aby Warburg e Didi-Huberman
This article proposes montage as a methodological procedure applicable to communication research, especially those focused on visualities, temporalities, and memory. Drawing on the contributions of Aby Warburg and Georges Didi-Huberman, montage is presented as a form of anachronistic visual thinking that challenges historical linearity and enables critical and sensitive readings of media products. The text explores montage as an interpretative and political gesture, exemplifies its applicability through the author’s previous research, and addresses its limitations as a method. It concludes that, through juxtaposition and analogy, montage becomes an epistemological tool capable of revealing tensions, displacements, and resistances in the images circulating in everyday media.
