On Some Aspects of Using VTOL UAVs as an Air Platform for Communication Signal Relay

The article was developed as part of a scientific study on the topic of the program: IRN BR21882279 «Development and manufacture of a small-sized communication repeater based on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to increase the range and stability of radio communications». Some features of using vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as an air platform for communication relay are considered. The study analyzes the advantages and limitations of this technology, and also considers the possibilities of optimizing the functionality of UAVs in the context of ensuring reliable and effective communications. Particular attention is paid to the possibilities of improving communication efficiency and reliability through the optimization of UAV functional characteristics. The research results can be useful in the design and use of VTOL UAVs as an important means of enhancing the range and reliability of communication

Abstract

The article was developed as part of a scientific study on the topic of the program: IRN BR21882279 «Development and manufacture of a small-sized communication repeater based on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to increase the range and stability of radio communications». Some features of using vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as an air platform for communication relay are considered. The study analyzes the advantages and limitations of this technology, and also considers the possibilities of optimizing the functionality of UAVs in the context of ensuring reliable and effective communications.
