Rural Youth of Russia: Demographic Characteristics (History and Modernity)

The article examines the demographic characteristics of rural youth of Russia aged 15-34: number, share in the population, age composition, migration.According to these indicators, rural youth is compared with urban youth.The analysis was based on current statistics for 2018-2023 and population census data from 1989, 2002, 2010, 2021.It is concluded that the measures taken by the state are insufficient to stabilize the demographic situation in rural areas.
