ACESSO AOS ESPAÇOS PÚBLICOS DE LAZER POR CRIANÇAS, ADOLESCENTES E IDOSOS:

This article addresses the issue of public leisure spaces and the access children, adolescents, and the elderly have to them, considering them as essential urban spaces for guaranteeing the right to leisure for these age groups, with a specific focus on the city of Orlândia-SP. The general aim of this article is to understand access to leisure in public spaces for children, teenagers, and the elderly in the town of Orlândia-SP. To achieve this objective, two data surveys were carried out: one concerned primary data through fieldwork in these public spaces and the other related to secondary data from the IBGE's tabular and cartographic database. The results showed that within this spatial area, there is a positive correlation between leisure spaces and the child and adolescent population. In contrast, about the elderly population, this correlation is negative. The conclusion is that interventions are needed in areas of the city that have a large elderly population and that lack public leisure spaces, especially passive ones, to seek greater accessibility for this age group and guarantee their right to leisure.
