Enhancing Learning Outcomes through Artificial Intelligence Applications among Second-Grade Middle School Students (Action Research)
The research aimed to investigate the impact of artificial intelligence applications on enhancing learning outcomes among middle school students in the Sabya Education Directorate, A descriptive survey method was employed, utilizing a questionnaire consisting of 42 sub-statements to determine the role of middle school teachers in developing life skills among female students in the same department. The study was applied to a sample of 412 second-grade students (both male and female). The results indicated a significant impact of artificial intelligence applications on learning outcomes in areas such as cognitive skills, self-learning, creativity and innovation, and active participation. Additionally, the impact on skill-based, emotional, critical thinking, and problem-solving outcomes was also noteworthy. In light of these findings, the researcher drew several reflections on the research as a whole. The educational experiences gained from conducting the study highlighted the positive effects of artificial intelligence applications on learning outcomes in cognitive, emotional, and skill areas. Furthermore, the reflections included several positives that underscored the role of artificial intelligence in promoting self-learning and effective interaction among students, necessitating that teachers focus on educational strategies that support this use. Some drawbacks were noted, such as the limited sample size of 412 students, which may affect the generalizability of the results. The researcher also benefited from the study by enhancing her research skills and critical analysis abilities, strengthening her competence as a researcher. Additionally, a series of future studies were proposed to explore further aspects of artificial intelligence applications in education.
