Perde Duvar ile Güçlendirmede Ankraj Çapı ve Lokasyonunun Betonarme Çerçevenin Performansına Etkileri

This study aims to determine supplementary details to the existing standards specified in TBDY-2018 (Turkish Building Earthquake Code-2018) regarding anchor diameter and anchor location based on concrete strength for building retrofitting, as well as to propose cost-effective retrofitting standards in terms of cost, labor, time, and material usage. For this purpose, four two-dimensional reinforced concrete frames at a 1/2 scale (150 cm x 150 cm) were prepared and subjected to horizontal and vertical loads. In compliance with TBDY-2018, two of these frames were retrofitted with shear walls using 6Ø12 anchors, while the other two were retrofitted using 11Ø8 anchors. After reaching the collapse level, a total of four experiments were conducted on these frames by applying loads up to 0.95 Pmax. For the first experimental group, despite a 19% reduction in anchor area for the 11Ø8 anchors compared to the 6Ø12 anchors, an increase in energy dissipation capacity and maximum energy load-bearing capacity was observed. In the second experimental group, which considered different slab and beam connection locations for the 11Ø8 anchors, it was concluded that anchor location significantly contributes to energy dissipation capacity, stiffness, and energy load-bearing capacity.
