El tomismo en la Universidad de Navarra (1964-2014)
In 1964 the Philosophy Section of the University of Navarra began its journey. Its foundational features were: Christian identity, a systematic orientation in teaching (with a metaphysics inspired by Thomist sources) and the plurality of research interests. Without becoming a school of its own, there are some relevant Thomist authors (García López, Alarcón Moreno, etc.), and the preparation of many doctoral theses on the Thomist tradition, translations of works by Saint Thomas, and monographs that constitute relevant philosophical contributions to Thomism. In addition, the metaphysical training opened the door to the great classical and medieval tradition, facilitating a fruitful dialogue with the most representative of modern and contemporary philosophy.
