Eucaristía e interpretación de textos teológicos en la controversia eucarística del siglo IX. Estudio del concepto «Intellegere» en «Epistola ad Fredugardum», 257 de Pascasio Radberto
The ninth-century Eucharistic controversy between Paschasius Radbertus and Ratramnus of Corbie arose from divergent interpretations of Patristic theological texts. Paschasius Radbertus’ «Epistola ad Fredugardum» constitutes an invitation to correctly interpret the «auctoritates» in order to properly apprehend the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. This article examines the traditional significance of the term «intellegere» in Paschasius Radbertus, highlighting how he proposes that access to theological texts should mirror the manner in which the faithful partake in sacramental communion.
