English The Scripture of Supreme Response (Taishang Ganying Pian), a Daoist moral tract widely circulated since the Song dynasty, transcends its religious origins to embody a distinctive synthesis of Confucian, Buddhist, and Daoist ethical thought. This study systematically examines its ethical framework through three interrelated dimensions: cosmological foundations, moral normative structures, and the praxis of self-cultivation. We argue that the text not only successfully integrates the shared ethical resources of the Three Teachings but also offers profound insights for addressing contemporary concerns in civic ethics, psychological well-being, and ecological sustainability. Through its unadorned yet profound ethos of moral admonition, The Scripture of Supreme Response constructs a universal ethical paradigm that transcends denominational boundaries. As such, it provides enduring inspiration for modern moral education and global cross-cultural dialogue.
