Synergistic use of pomegranate in homoeopathic dilutions for skin ailments

Skin disorders remain a global health challenge, with conditions such as eczema and psoriasis imposing significant burdens on physical health, quality of life, and healthcare systems. Conventional therapies, though effective, are often limited by side effects, high costs, and issues of accessibility, necessitating exploration of integrative and safer alternatives. This study evaluated the synergistic dermatological potential of Punica granatum (pomegranate) in homoeopathic dilutions through a combination of pharmacognostic, in-vitro, and clinical approaches. Standardized extracts were prepared, and homoeopathic dilutions (6C, 30C, and 200C) were tested for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects using DPPH, FRAP, and cytokine assays, followed by a randomized controlled clinical evaluation in patients with psoriasis and eczema.
