Surface Engineering of 2D Metal‐Porphyrin Metal–Organic Frameworks Z‐Scheme Heterostructure for Boosting and Stable Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution (Small 40/2025)

Metal–Organic Frameworks In article number 2408806, Xiangqing Li and co-workers developed a strategy to easily fabricate a uniform titanium dioxide nanoparticles layer on 2D meso-tetra (4-carboxyphenyl) metalloporphyrin metal-organic frameworks. The fabricated Z-scheme heterojunction displayed boosted and stable photocatalytic hydrogen evolution due to the accelerated separation and transfer of charges. It offers a feasible strategy for designing heterostructures based on metal-organic frameworks for highly efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.
