Real-world quantification of treatment response to low-dose oral minoxidil in nonscarring alopecia
Low-dose oral minoxidil (LDOM) is used increasingly for nonscarring alopecias, but treatment response remains poorly quantified. In this retrospective study of 60 patients with androgenetic alopecia or telogen effluvium, artificial intelligence-powered HairMetrix imaging detected significant improvements in hair density over 4–8 months. These findings demonstrate real-world, treatment-associated improvement using a standardized, noninvasive imaging approach to quantify LDOM response.
