In situ technologies and their applications for soil pollution

Since 2018, the use of new chemical engineering methods and technologies to reduce and eliminate soil pollution has become very popular. In situ technology separates and concentrates pollutants without disturbing the soil during all treatments and removes and cleans the contaminated site or transfers it to another area. The main advantage of in site processing is that it processes the soil without digging or transporting it, resulting in saving costs and less environmental change. This technology has the advantage of preserving soil structure, organic matter, and biodiversity, which are otherwise very difficult to restore again. In situ technologies for contaminated soils are variously classified as bioremediation (using microorganisms to break down pollutants) phytoremediation (using plants to stabilize, break down, and absorb pollutants), and chemical oxidation (using oxidizing agents to convert chemical pollutants into safe forms). Chemical engineering is one of these technologies. process, model design, chemical reaction kinetics, model improvement, quality control, chemical analysis, and required development. It is clear that the application of chemical engineering to the problem of soil contamination will provide effective, profitable, and sustainable remediation solutions. We reviewed new in situ chemical engineering methods and technologies for soil pollution reduction, their applications, and actual results. Abstract
