Development of Software for Calculating Electricity Losses for Grid Companies

The program developed by the authors is designed to estimate electricity losses caused by the asymmetry and non-sinusoidal currents, which is an urgent problem for electric power systems. The software allows you to calculate electricity losses based on these factors, and is also used in processing the results of instrumental energy surveys of overhead lines. This tool can be used to analyze voltage and current diagrams, determine the levels of additional losses depending on the parameters of supports, wires and cables. The assessment of the level of additional losses in the network requires a sufficient number of surveyed overhead lines, which is determined by the results of a complete energy survey of the electrical network. The analysis is based on the study of the coefficient of additional losses, which makes it possible to more accurately predict and minimize energy losses. The program provides an opportunity for detailed modeling of power grid processes and optimization of operational characteristics of power systems. The use of this software package helps to increase the energy efficiency and reliability of electrical networks by accurately accounting for the asymmetry and non-sinusoidal currents. The developed solution can be used both in scientific research and in the practical activities of energy companies to optimize energy supply processes and reduce operating costs
