PEMBERIAN BERBAGAI MACAM PUPUK HIJAU ORGANIK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BAWANG MERAH (Alium cepa)

This study aims to determine the effect of organic green manure on the growth of shallots. Applying organic green manure as a growing medium in shallot cultivation can improve soil structure, porosity, and nutrient content. The use of organic green manure for shallot plants can also increase production yields. This study was a pure experiment using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with four treatments: A1 = Control, A2 = Soil Media + Kayu Apu Green Manure, A3 = Soil Media + Bamboo Leaf Fertilizer, and A4 = Soil Media + Burnt Rice Husks, with four replications. The variables observed to observe shallot growth were the number of leaves and the number of bulbs. The results showed an effect of organic green manure on the number of leaves and the number of bulbs based on the ANOVA test, while the DMRT test showed that treatments A1 (control), A2 (Kayapu) were not significantly different from treatments A3 (dried bamboo leaves), and A4 (burnt rice husks). This is influenced by good soil porosity and aeration, which affect shallot growth in absorbing nutrients and the relationship between water and air in the soil.
