A hydrogen-bond network sieve enables selective OH − /Cl − discrimination for stable seawater splitting at 2.0 A cm −2
We established a hydrogen-bond network-mediated ion-sieve for seawater splitting, where selective OH − transport and Cl − exclusion are governed by dynamic interfacial water restructuring, overturning the conventional electrostatic repulsion model.
