Advancements in cavitation and noise research of waterjet pumps
To advance the development of waterjet pump technology, this study systematically addresses the critical issues of cavitation and noise associated with waterjet propulsion systems, with the aim of enhancing overall performance. This paper provides a comprehensive review of waterjet pumps from four key perspectives: structural characteristics and classification, current developmental status, cavitation and noise mechanisms, and optimization strategies for cavitation and noise reduction. Building on the latest research by experts worldwide, we thoroughly discuss the operational principles, features, classification, and underlying mechanisms of cavitation and noise in waterjet pumps. Furthermore, the paper proposes effective measures and future research directions for optimizing cavitation and noise performance, contributing to improved operational efficiency and promoting sustainable advancements in hydraulic machinery.
