Moving Target Imaging in WasSAR System

Moving target imaging is a hot issue in synthetic aperture radar ground moving target indication (SAR-GMTI). Due to the complex flight trajectory in the wide-angle staring SAR (WasSAR), severe two-dimensional coupling occurs between azimuth and range. Therefore, refocusing moving target in WassAR is challenging. This paper proposed a moving target method based on alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). First, multi-channel WasSAR-GMTI is used to achieve moving target detection and radial velocity estimation. Then, we exploit the sparsity of the target and adopt the ADMM algorithm to reconstruct high-quality image. At last, the azimuth scaling is applied to project image in range-Doppler (RD) domain onto the North-East- Down (NED) coordinate system. Experimental results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
