Modeling Multi-Dimensional Uncertainties in Large-Scale Power Systems
The future energy system will be significantly influenced by various factors subject to increasing uncertainty, such as weather conditions and the installed capacity of various load sectors or renewable energy sources. This paper introduces a novel approach to simulate probabilistic scenarios to enhance the robustness of large-scale power system analysis. By employing different statistical methods like bootstrapping and correlation analysis, potential development trajectories are randomly generated and utilized within a Monte Carlo simulation framework, leveraging a pan-European energy system model. This methodology provides a solid foundation for future planning strategies of resilient energy systems.
