Zero-trust Framework for Resilient Power System with Anomalous Data
The accurate data are the fundamental of the resilient and stable operation of the cyber-physical power system (CPPS) after natural disasters. The harsh environment deteriorates data accuracy by causing equipment damage, time synchronization deviations, and the inclusion of anomalous data. In this work, a zero-trust framework is proposed to enhance the resilience of post-disaster CPPS. The dynamic verification of the proposed zero-trust validation framework (ZTVF) guarantees the trustworthy data collection, transmission, processing and dispatch against anomalous data from every part of data exchange. The blockchain is leveraged to establish the trackable and immutable strategy that anomalous data are prevented from packet loss or malicious tempering. The integrated satellite-terrestrial network is leveraged to build the resilient communication fundamental for the proposed ZTVF by offering all-time communication access. Real system-based simulation with the actual satellite test data is utilized to validate the effectiveness of the proposed ZTVF.
