Towards a Fair Disaggregation in Hierarchical Cloud – Edge Control of Distributed Local Energy Communities
In hierarchical grid control models, the global controller searches global optimality while respecting local objectives, privacy, and comfort. However, disaggregation of the global solution can risk being unfair for local energy communities. This paper proposes a fair disaggregation method implemented in a cloud-edge hierarchical control model. The proposed method allows global control of the disaggregation process by quantifying the contribution of each of the local communities, all while respecting local privacy. Fairness of the solution is analyzed through local comfort computation and then measured using Jain’s fairness index.
