Optimization of Water Rendering Performance Based on Adaptive Compression and Parallel Acceleration

Water rendering can recreate river and coastal dynamics for applications such as urban planning and disaster response. To deliver real-time, high-fidelity visuals, we present a three-fold optimization: Adaptive compression—we assess point-cloud complexity to reduce static model storage and rendering overhead; Time-step control—an SPH-based adaptive scheme balances physical accuracy against computation; Parallel acceleration—spatial partitioning and dynamic load balancing maximize GPU throughput. Benchmarks show a 25.6% increase in dynamic frame rate over our baseline, alongside substantial cuts in video storage, VRAM usage, and overall render time. These combined gains satisfy stringent real-time requirements while preserving visual realism.
