Inclined channel flow of magnetohydrodynamic micropolar dusty fluids under rotation: An RBF‐pseudo‐spectral approach and pumping power computation

Abstract This study presents a computational analysis of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) micropolar dusty fluid flow within an inclined channel under rotational influences, employing the radial basis function pseudo‐spectral method (RBF‐PSM) for enhanced numerical accuracy and stability. The micropolar dusty fluid, characterized by both spin and microstructural effects, flows through an inclined channel subjected to magnetic fields and rotational forces, thereby increasing the complexity of the governing dynamics. The flow equations, including momentum, angular momentum, and dust particle dynamics, are reformulated into a system of partial differential equations (PDEs). These equations account for magnetic and rotational influences, as well as the specific characteristics of micropolar dusty fluids. The RBF‐PSM is applied to solve these PDEs, providing a precise framework suitable for complex boundary conditions and high‐dimensional data requirements. The study also evaluates the pumping power required for fluid transport in this setup, offering insights into its dependence on inclination, micropolar parameters, magnetic field strength, and rotational effects. This is crucial for applications involving complex orientations and multi‐force interactions, particularly in fluid mechanics and multiphase flows encountered in industries such as petroleum and mining, aerospace and defense, and material processing. Results indicate that an increase in inclination angle, particle concentration, and time leads to higher pumping power, whereas higher Reynolds numbers reduce it, highlighting the interplay of various forces and the importance of optimizing parameters for efficiency.
