The role of schools in creating essential future competencies for the labour market from the perspective of surveyed academic youth. A research report
<ns3:p>The article discusses the issue of future competencies necessary for young people to navigate the realities of the future labour market, in the context of their development by schools. The article presents research aimed at determining the declared level of selected future competencies possessed by the respondents, their subjective assessment of the school's contribution to the development of these competencies, as well as identifying the relationship between these competencies and school education. The first part of the article emphasizes the importance of developing future competencies in the context of finding one's place in the labour market, presenting the school as the creator of these competencies. The second part of the article presents the author's own research – the empirical research results are shown, including the declared level of future competencies possessed by the respondents, their subjective assessment of the school's contribution to developing these competencies, and the relationship between the subjective level of the perceived future competencies in the studied academic youth and their subjective evaluation of the school's role in shaping these competencies. The article concludes with findings and a summary.</ns3:p>
