ESTRATÉGIAS FISIOTERAPÊUTICAS NA PROMOÇÃO DA SAÚDE ARTICULAR EM ATLETAS JOVENS: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA
Objective: to conduct an integrative review (2013–2025) on physiotherapy strategies to promote joint health in young athletes (10–18 years). Methods: searches in PubMed, PEDro, SciELO, and LILACS (Portuguese, English, Spanish) following PRISMA 2020; dual screening; standardized data extraction; methodological appraisal. Results: 34 studies were included, covering multicomponent protocols (e.g., FIFA 11+ and 11+ Kids), neuromuscular training, strength training, proprioception, stretching, and health education. Overall, neuromuscular and strength programs showed the largest effects on injury reduction and functional outcomes (dynamic balance, knee kinematics), with good feasibility in school and club settings. Conclusion: physiotherapists are pivotal in youth sport when integrating structured preventive protocols to reduce joint risk and foster sports longevity.
