No Detector to Rule Them All
Deepfakes-hyper-realistic synthetic images generated by advanced AI models-pose a growing threat to privacy, security, fairness, and trust in digital media. As generative models become more sophisticated, detecting whether an image is real or synthetic is no longer a purely technical challenge, but a critical societal imperative. Robust deepfake detection is essential for preserving the integrity of online information, protecting individuals from identity misuse, and ensuring transparency in AI-generated content.
