The Salepçioğlu Mosque, located in the Konak district of Izmir, reflects the late-period characteristics ofOttoman architecture and was built between 1897 and 1907. The mosque has a symmetrical layout, with theupper floor serving as a prayer area and the lower floor functioning as a madrasa. This study examines in detailthe mosque's interior design, materials used, and decorative elements.Through on-site observation and analysis, the relationship between the structural composition of the facade andthe interior layout has been explored. The findings reveal that the mosque’s design blends the classical forms ofOttoman architecture with the artistic understandings of the period, establishing it as an important structure bothin terms of functionality and aesthetics. The intricate decorative elements within the mosque demonstrate thecraftsmanship of the era and the mastery of material usage. Additionally, the symmetrical and holistic approachto spatial design has endowed the mosque with an architectural identity that accommodates both religious andeducational functions. In this context, the Salepçioğlu Mosque serves as a significant example for understandingthe transformation of Ottoman architecture in its later period.
