Development and Application of Experimental Platform for Intelligent Robotic Inspection of Metallic Materials

Aiming at the problems of strong manual dependence and low efficiency in metal material inspection, this paper constructs a set of intelligent inspection system integrating robot control, machine vision and multi-sensor technology. Taking the ABB six-axis robot as the core, it integrates oblique visual strain resolution, 3D light curtain measurement and automatic identification of fracture position to realize efficient and accurate inspection of specimen geometric parameters and mechanical properties. The system software is based on DOLI-EDCi2 control platform, combined with genetic algorithm to optimize the task scheduling, forming a closed-loop process of “identification-execution-judgment”. Test results show that the system can shorten the single-piece inspection cycle from 20 minutes to 5 minutes, with an efficiency increase of 300%, providing a feasible path and technical support for intelligent and unmanned inspection of metal materials.
