An Image Encryption Scheme Integrating PUF-Driven Chaotic Systems and DNA Computing

Owing to its high parallelism and storage density, DNA computing has been widely integrated with chaotic systems and applied in the field of image encryption. However, the DNA computing rules currently employed are relatively simple, which may pose certain security risks. Meanwhile, most chaotic systems are rather complex, thereby affecting computational efficiency to some extent. Addressing these issues, this paper proposes a twodimensional discrete chaotic system and designs an image encryption algorithm based on the integration of chaos and DNA computing. The proposed chaotic system has a relatively simple structure. Additionally, a DNA_BOX permutation operation is introduced to increase the complexity of DNA computations. Furthermore, PUF technology is employed to protect the encryption keys. The security of the designed encryption algorithm is analyzed and compared with other schemes. Results indicate that the proposed scheme has high information entropy, low correlation between adjacent pixels, and strong resistance to noise attacks. Both theoretical analysis and simulation experiments demonstrate that the algorithm can effectively resist various typical attacks and exhibits a high level of security.
