Approach for approximating future load timeseries in low voltage grids

Defossilization in transportation and heating sector results in increasing numbers of heat pumps (HPs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs). An approach for analyzing the impact of these additional loads on grid infrastructures is required. This investigation proposes an approach for the load timeseries prediction of a group of households (HHs) with various penetrations of BEVs and HPs similar to the approach of standard load profiles (SLPs) for HHs. Load timeseries prediction for a group of HHs with various penetrations of BEVs and HPs is based on mean power consumption values for the course of a weekday, derived from synthetic datasets for HHs, BEVs and HPs. The results indicate characteristic load timeseries for weekdays in winter period and the shape of power consumption of a settlement with 150 HHs and various penetrations of BEVs and HPs is predicted reasonably. However, the results are based on synthetical datasets and validation with measured data is required.
