Local Remote Sensing Image Encryption Algorithm Based on Chaotic System

Remote sensing images record rich information about features and have important value in military and civil aspects, but remote sensing images in these fields usually contain a lot of sensitive information, which makes remote sensing image encryption gradually become one of the research hotspots. Meanwhile, the traditional “all-or-nothing” encryption method often faces the problems of wasted computational resources due to encryption of non-sensitive areas and the lack of dynamic privilege control for forwarding scenarios in practical applications. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes a encryption algorithm for remote sensing images based on chaotic system, designs a new discrete chaotic system, introduces plaintext key and lossless steganography, and realizes the encryption of remote sensing images in local scenarios by manually box-selecting the images that need to be encrypted locally. The experimental results show that the algorithm is able to provide effective resistance in the face of various attacks, and the double encryption and higher key space make the encryption strength increase dramatically, which can satisfy more requirements for local encryption in terms of scheme design. The proposed algorithm with high reconfigurability, high security and high attack resistance provides an efficient and scalable privacy protection scheme for remote sensing image platform sharing, which can provide guidance for practical applications.
