Abstract

There were errors in Development (2025) 152, dev204813 (doi:10.1242/dev.204813).The authors contacted us to say that there were three incorrectly cited references. The updated citations are detailed below. In the first paragraph of the ‘Results: Regeneration, architecture and patterning of patient-derived organoids from single cells’ section, ‘Linnemann et al., 2015’ should have instead cited ‘Sokol et al., 2016’.Corrected:We have recently shown that hydrogel scaffolds seeded with tissue clusters yield human breast organoids with remarkably similar architecture and hormonal responses to those of human breast tissue (Sokol et al., 2016).In the first paragraph of the ‘Results: Comparative transcriptional analysis of tissue and organoid cell populations’ section, ‘Rauner et al., 2021’ should have instead cited ‘Ortiz et al., 2024’.Corrected:To ascertain whether organoids grown in ECM hydrogel mirrors human breast tissue, we performed a side-by-side analysis using previously published single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data on cells obtained directly from normal human breast tissue (Gray et al., 2022), as well from traditional organoids grown in Matrigel (Ortiz et al., 2024), and compared them to scRNA-seq we performed on organoids grown in the ECM hydrogel substrate. In the first paragraph of the ‘Materials and Methods: Integrated analysis’ section, ‘Barnes et al., 2014’ should have instead cited ‘Gray et al., 2022’.Corrected:Previously published scRNA-seq data from traditional organoids grown in Matrigel (Ortiz et al., 2024), healthy primary breast tissue (Gray et al., 2022), as well as the scRNA-seq data generated from this study were analyzed. These citations have been corrected in the pdf and online. The authors apologise for this error, which does not impact the results and conclusions of the paper.
