Sulfonium salt-mediated phosphorodithioation of alkynes with P 4 S 10 and alcohols to access <i>Z</i> -vinyl phosphorodithioates
In this work, we report a practical and convenient sulfonium salt-mediated alkyne difunctionalization reaction. This method uses inexpensive P4S10 as both the sulfur and phosphorus sources, providing an efficient approach for access to various <i>Z</i>-vinyl phosphorodithioates. Preliminary studies suggest that the reaction undergoes a nucleophilic addition to <i>in situ</i> generated alkynyl sulfonium salts and subsequently a demethylation process.
