Improving Mechanisms to Regulate Regional Wage Inequality
The article examines regional inequality in wages in Kazakhstan and proposes mechanisms for its regulation. It analyzes global experience and scholars' points of view, reveals the need to improve tax policy and increase the share of labor income. A comparative analysis of wages in the regions showed significant differences, especially in nominal wages. Two solutions are proposed: tax reform and regulation of wages by the state and employers. It is recommended to introduce differentiated tax rates, strengthen control over their observance, establish regional coefficients and unify incentive payments
