ARTISTS: COMMUNITY AND COMMUNICATION IN POST-SUBCULTURAL CONDITIONS
Introduction. The cultural and historical change of society, its communicative structure and information technologies leads to the emergence of new forms of self-organization of people. This self-organization can occur in a variety of areas. This article will briefly consider two questions related to the community of drawing enthusiasts. Firstly, what social spaces unite such people, are a breeding ground for creativity, a place for learning, communication, professional growth? Secondly, how does communication occur in these spaces? Contents. DeviantArt and ArtStation portals, their content, features of functioning, mechanisms of slang formation are shown as platforms with different levels of professionalism of artists. Communication on these sites is more horizontal than vertical. Specific forms of communication were considered: commenting on art, communication through putting likes and dislikes; creation of creative alliances; organization of competitions, games and lotteries; possibility of earning; gifting and exchange. Conclusions. Firstly, it is possible to see how in the modern conditions of development of post-subcultural forms of self-organization an informal communication environment has emerged, allowing to present one's own works, organize the work process, exchange experiences, study, and look for work. Secondly, the art community acts as a structure that provides for the age-related need for socialization through communication (previously this task was solved by youth subcultures).
