Research on the Formation of Dynamic Lethal Elements and Penetration Performance of Shaped Charge Warhead

In order to more effectively improve the damage efficiency to the target within the limited volume of the ammunition, the optimal dynamic standoff position for the fuze to initiate the warhead is determined. From a practical perspective, this paper studies the influence of the impact velocity of the warhead when hitting the target on the formation of the dynamic damage elements and the damage power of the shaped charge warhead, so as to determine the dynamic standoff position for the fuze to control the optimal initiation of the warhead. By constructing a simulation model for the formation of dynamic damage elements and the penetration power, numerical simulation is adopted to analyze the influence on the formation of static and dynamic damage elements and the penetration power. The results show that: under the condition of the same standoff, when the dynamic standoff is less than the optimal static standoff, the greater the impact velocity of the warhead, the smaller the penetration power of the dynamic damage elements. When the standoff is the optimal dynamic standoff, the greater the impact velocity of the warhead, the greater the penetration power of the dynamic damage elements, and the optimal dynamic standoff of the warhead is affected by the impact velocity of the warhead.
