Investigation into the adaptability of different elastoplastic models for fields to launch impact loading
This study establishes a coupled finite element model of the adaptive pedestal and low specific pressure field. By comparing the dynamic response of compacted loess under launch impact loading using the Mohr-Coulomb (M-C) model and linear Drucker-Prager (D-P) model, the applicability of different constitutive models is investigated. The analysis reveals that the M-C model predicts a maximum settlement of 206.3 mm and a peak shear stress of 0.2 MPa, accurately capturing the formation of shallow shear bands. This demonstrates its superior suitability for studying the coupled dynamic response between the adaptive pedestal and low specific pressure field. In contrast, the D-P model better describes the deep soil response but underestimates shallow shear deformation, with a reduced peak shear stress of 0.18 MPa, and is more suitable for the overall stress state analysis of soil under high confining pressure. These findings provide critical insights into constitutive model selection for simulating soil-field interactions under impact loading.
