Dampak Media Sosial terhadap Pembentukan Identitas Diri di Kalangan Remaja

This study examines the impact of social media on the formation of adolescent self-identity. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies with subjects aged 15-19 years who are active on social media. The results show that social media influences adolescent self-identity, both positively, by increasing self-confidence, and negatively, by influencing body image and social comparison. Social media serves as a means of self-expression, but excessive use can reduce face-to-face social interaction and communication skills. The study recommends the wise use of social media with family support.
