The Triple Nexus of Policy, Infrastructure, and Consumer Economics: A Case Study on Indonesia's Electric Vehicle Adoption Readiness

Adoption of EV vehicles in Indonesia is very crucial, although policies that support EVs such as tax exemptions, sustainable transportation routes, consumer subsidies. In Indonesia itself, EV adoption is still relatively small compared to countries in Southeast Asia. the study discussed here is about neighboring countries in Asia. this also raises questions about the factors that will drive consumer interest in EVs, previous studies have identified incentives, availability of infrastructure for EVs, and socio-economic variables, including vehicle prices and consumer demographics. through telematic data and analysis, this study found that in Indonesia, people are still very minimal in their interest in adopting EVs, people still cannot assess the plus value in adopting EVs, this analysis highlights the need for users to adopt EVs to be more focused, fair and comprehensive to encourage more advanced EV adoption.
