A High-Isolation X-ray Power Supply with Multi-Transformer Series Configuration
Micro-focus computed tomography (CT) systems demand high-voltage power supplies capable of delivering both high efficiency and robust voltage isolation to achieve high-resolution imaging. Conventional solutions, such as flyback converters, often exhibit insufficient isolation and efficiency under stringent operational requirements. This study proposes a novel design integrating multi-transformer series isolation with LLC resonant topology to overcome these limitations. The proposed architecture enhances power conversion efficiency and voltage isolation, critical for stable operation in high-voltage environments. Additionally, the multi-transformer isolation strategy effectively distributes high-voltage stress across cascaded stages, achieving an isolation voltage. This design offers a reliable and efficient solution for micro-focus CT systems, significantly advancing the performance of high-voltage power supplies in precision imaging applications.
