Stress and Crash Tests Using Finite Element Analysis Method of Pediatric Patient Transportation
Anxiety becomes one of the serious attentions behind operative care in hospital. Anxiety has a lot of impact such as decreasing patient immunity, painful feeling and trauma. So autonomous electric beds have become an innovative solution to reduce pediatric patient anxiety impact. This concept is four wheels of AGV servo motor drive kit for maneuvering in hospital. Chassis expected to able withstand for a major equipment such as medical support, electrical support, pediatric itself and front impact test. Three materials were conducted to test the chassis design namely AISI 1020, AISI 4340, and Aluminum 6063-T6. All material passed the test of design requirement in CAD CAE software (SolidWorks). Based on simulation, Aluminum 6063-T6 resulting stress 169 MPa in stress test and 205 MPa in crash test, make it conclude Aluminum 6063-T6 is the strongest material from the other three.
