Obtaining and research of components for conservation liquids on the bases of oleic acid and diethylenetriamine
The presented article is dedicated to the study of the inhibitory properties of organic nitrogen compounds of oleic acid as a conservation liquids against atmospheric corrosion. For this purpose, imidazolines of oleic acid with diethylenetriamine in a 1:1 and 2:1 molar ratio were synthesized. The structures of the synthesized imidazolines were studied by infrared spectral analysis. At the next stage, their 5 and 10% compositions in T-30 oil were prepared and their electrical conductivity properties were tested, and their inhibitory effects were tested in a G-4 hydrochamber, in seawater, and in a 0.001% sulfuric acid solution as conservation liquids against atmospheric corrosion.According to the test results, when imidazolines were added to the conservation liquids at a concentration of 5%, the protection time in the hydrochamber was 415 and 402 days, respectively, and when added at a concentration of 10%, it was 420 and 465 days. This indicates that the imidazoline obtained by taking oleic acid and diethylenetriamine in a 1:1 molar ratio had a longer protective effect than the imidazoline obtained by taking diethylenetriamine and diethylenetriamine in a 2:1 molar ratio.Conservation liquids containing 5% imidazoline protected Steel-3 samples from atmospheric corrosion in seawater for 151 and 157 days, and for 10% for 180 and 225 days, respectively. The protection period in 0.001% H2SO4 solution was 148 and 151 days when 5% solutions have been used, and 172, 221 days when 10% solutions have been used, respectively. The test results show that the preservative liquid prepared by adding 10% of imidazoline that obtained in a 1:1 molar ratio of oleic acid to diethylenetriamine, to T-30 oil is more effective
