Comparative analysis of associated petroleum gases and ways of their rational use

According to the map of oil and gas fields, as well as prospective structures of Azerbaijan, eight oil and gas regions and prospective territories are distinguished [1][2][3].The results of comparative studies of associated petroleum gases isolated from oils of the Surakhany (Surakhany oil is low-resinous -4.6%, low-sulfur -0.13% and low-paraffin -4.6%), Apsheron field of the Apsheron oil and gas region and commercial oil of the Baku archipelago of Azerbaijan are presented.Commercial oil consists of mixtures of oils of the Sangachal-deniz -Duvannydeniz -Khara-Zira, Bulla-deniz, Alat-deniz fields.Commercial oil is low-sulfur (0.2993%), low-resinous (4.25% by weight) and high-paraffin (7.85%).Gas chromatographic analysis of oils from the Apsheron and Surakhany fields, as well as commercial oil, was carried out.As shown by the gas chromatographic analysis, in addition to light hydrocarbons, the associated petroleum gases of the Apsheron field oils and commercial oil contains hydrocarbons C6, C7 of both linear and cyclic series, including benzene. The oil of the Surakhany field is distinguished by the presence of a large number of n-paraffin hydrocarbons, including ethane and propane, and the absence of isomers C6, C7.It is shown that the rational use of low-molecular hydrocarbons contained in the associated petroleum gases is relevant and important both from the point of view of obtaining valuable petrochemical and organic synthesis products, and solving environmental problems associated with environmental protection
