The Usage of Robot In the scale of Islamic jurisprudence

The study aimed to investigate the concept of the robot, its types, importance, the ruling of its use in contracting, transactions, sexual relations, and the civil and criminal liability resulting from the misuse of the robot. The study relied on the descriptive methodology. Besides, it used the deductive method. Many findings emerged from the study as follows: first: Using the robot in everyday life is permissible in general; second: it is permissible to use the robot in contracting provided that it abides by the principles of the Islamic Sharia; third: using robot in making sexual intercourse is forbidden and punishable. However, it is not to be punished by a prescribed penalty; fourth: the liability of the misuse of the robot and the damage resulted are estimated in the light of the circumstances of each case. The study recommended that the individuals ought to be aware of the legal restrictions of contracting using the robot and the ruling of using the robot in making sexual intercourse. It also recommended that the governments ought to pass a penalty on those who use the robot in making illegal sexual intercourse, as well as the need to expand in the scientific jurisprudence research studies that deal with the field of human and non-human robots, because they are in continuous development, while adhering to the legal commitments as we mentioned.
