Distributed Reactive Power Optimization for Distributed Network based on Accelerated Algorithm

With the high proportion of distributed photovoltaic (PV) systems integration, it inevitably leads to issues such as voltage limit violations and a significant increase in power losses. In this paper, a distributed reactive power optimization method based on accelerated algorithm is proposed. The reactive power optimization method based on second order cone programming is established firstly, then the accelerated distributed algorithm with employing the accelerated gradient is proposed to solve the model in a fast convergence. Compared to centralized optimization method, the distributed method requires significantly lower communication conditions and offers faster solution rates, making it more suitable for the current demands of safe and economical operation of distribution networks. The case studies show the effectiveness of the proposed method in power losses reduction and voltage regulation.
