Implementation Of Bubble Barrier System For Solid Waste Management In A Canal with Automatic Air Pressure Control And IoT System

This study explores the use of a Bubble Barrier System for solid waste management in canals, integrating an automatic air pressure control system and Internet of Things (IoT) technology for real-time monitoring and optimization. The bubble barrier uses a curtain of air bubbles to redirect floating debris toward collection points, helping prevent clogging and reduce flooding risks caused by waste accumulation. While existing studies focus on large-scale debris, this research addresses both large and small floating waste and the dynamic nature of water flow. The objectives include profiling the flow rate in a typical canal, designing the bubble barrier and air pressure control system, and testing the system’s performance in a semi-controlled environment. IoT integration allows for continuous monitoring and automatic adjustments, improving system efficiency and adaptability. This study aims to provide a scalable, innovative solution for waste management in aquatic environments, contributing to reducing pollution and mitigating flooding risks.
