Coordinated and Optimal Operation of Fuel Cell Power Generation System Considering the Influence of Time-of-use Electricity Price

In order to improve the operating efficiency of fuel cell power generation system, reduce the total cost of the system, and improve the consumption rate of new energy, a coordinated and optimized operation study of fuel cell power generation system considering the influence of time-of-use electricity price is proposed. First of all, it is proposed that the time-of-use electricity price can affect the demand response, so as to realize peak shaving and valley filling of power load and reduce the peak-valley difference of power load curve. Then, the multi-module cooperative operation strategy is introduced, and the optimization effect is further enhanced through double-layer optimization to improve the utilization rate of new energy. Finally, guided by low-carbon economic operation, the system operation efficiency and carbon emissions under different schemes are analyzed. The optimal operation model of fuel cell power generation system is constructed and solved by Cplex solver. The case studies shows that the increase of carbon emission cost of the system comes from purchasing electricity from the superior power grid; Through time-of-use electricity price and multi-module operation strategy, the total cost of the system can be reduced and the operation efficiency of the system can be improved. When the time-of-use electricity price and multi-module operation strategy work in tandem, the total cost of the system is the lowest and the operation efficiency is the highest, which promotes the coordination of energy, reduces the consumption of curtailed power and carbon emissions, and provides useful reference for the low-carbon economic operation of fuel cell power generation system under the background of energy transformation.
