A Grid Network Topology Planning Method Considering the Line π-Connection Model

The present study proposes a design method for topology planning of power grid, considering π-connection. By establishing a π-connection model for transmission lines, the method incorporates π-connection as extra constraint conditions, constructing a topological planning model of the power grid framework considering π-connection. The entropy weight method is used to solve the optimal solution of multi-objective functions, while complex constraint order reduction methods such as Big-M method are used to reduce the complexity of the constraints. The optimization problem is solved using a commercial solver in a 24-node power system, achieving topology planning that balances network losses and construction costs.

Abstract

The present study proposes a design method for topology planning of power grid, considering π-connection. By establishing a π-connection model for transmission lines, the method incorporates π-connection as extra constraint conditions, constructing a topological planning model of the power grid framework considering π-connection. The entropy weight method is used to solve the optimal solution of multi-objective functions, while complex constraint order reduction methods such as Big-M method are used to reduce the complexity of the constraints. The optimization problem is solved using a commercial solver in a 24-node power system, achieving topology planning that balances network losses and construction costs.
