Revisión de resultados y evolución de experiencias de Spin-Off
University Spin-Off initiatives are increasingly recognized as a mechanism to strengthen entrepreneurship while developing technology transfer and consolidating the business fabric. In this article, a review of Spin-Off experiences in the international and national spheres is carried out, descriptively exploring some results of this type of initiative, selected randomly, to obtain key success factors. The article follows a descriptive review methodology, based on secondary information regarding the results of 12 Spin-Off companies, as well as information on the evolution of Spin-Offs in Colombia. It is concluded that it is a consolidated phenomenon in the world, being in the Ibero-American case Spain and Colombia the leading countries in the creation of Spin-Off companies, but that in the Colombian case there is the challenge of guaranteeing financing for the ventures.
