Proposta de criação de uma rede social especializada com o uso da tecnologia Giphy para divulgação dos serviços das Bibliotecas da UFSC

From a perspective that the Digital Humanities arise to account for a contemporary reality of technology present in traditional sources of information (Castro; Pimenta, 2018), this article points to a modern problem regarding the lack of knowledge of the information services offered by university libraries of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Thus, increasing engagement with users through platforms that provide information services through social media. Digital technology mainly promotes content, such as social networks (Araújo, 2021). In this sense, libraries seek to modernize and increasingly use technology to their advantage through social media. This article addresses a proposal to the Communication and Marketing Commission of the University Library (BU), to design an academic social network whose objective is to expand the dissemination of BU/UFSC services. The creation of a specific specialized social network for the academic public is primarily justified by the fact that the main services offered by the Libraries are aimed at the students of the University. The article also proposes using giphy technology within the academic social network of BU/UFSC, publicizing the Library's services. The giphys will be created using GifMaker and Canva software based on existing materials and videos on BU's social media.
